Born in South Shields in the North East of England, I studied art at Sunderland and Newcastle.

 

I am an artist working in multi media, in fact, I have never been bound by a single media or style. Always using whichever I feel is best for the subject and the emotion.  My preferred media is oil paint on canvas and, pen/brush and ink.

 

Rather than presenting a factual reality, an illusion is fabricated to conjure the realms of our imagination.

The landscape of Spain has been a great influence on my work.

I thoroughly enjoy portraits of animals and also, architectural portraits.

Architectural portraits impose many restrictions on me and, I find those restrictions very exciting.
